Crawford High SchoolShop Teacher Carl Kingsbury was kind enough to let Bill Montgomery from Prime Motivation take over his Senior Class and speak about continued education and the various fields of study available in the automotive industry.

Bill Montgomery Lectured the class on •  his experiences in his 20+ years in the automotive industry  •  the many types of automotive related jobs available  •  the skills and education needed within the industry.  The 2011 Scion tC and Scion Limited Edition Voodoo xB were available for the students examine and explore.  Apollo brought out his Mitsubisihi 3000gt to experience the students the mobile electronics side of the Industry.

When Carl Kinsbury first came to Crawford High School the Autoshop classroom looked like regular classroom.  No garage, equipment or tools available for the students.  It was a period when the economy was crashing and funds became very hard for the school system.  Although there was funds available it became apparent that it wasn't enough.  In comes Jimmy Johnson with his $32495.00 donation.  As you can see, his donation was well spent.  Soon after, Edelbrock provided Pro-flo 2 EFI at a heavily reduced price.

Upon meeting Carl Kingsbury his enthusiasm in teaching and helping his students was very apparent.  he talked passionately about how he wanted his students to succeed.  He works hard for his students and the appreciation that we've seen from his students was obvious.  Not every graduating student will go on to a four year college and Carl Kingsbury is doing his best to keep his students interested getting continuing their education after high school through the Automotive Shop Program at Crawford High School.  With all the help Carl and Crawford High School has gotten from Jimmy Johnson, Edelbrock and a few other Companies, the Autoshop program still needs help.  His class recently placed 11th in their second year of competing in the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Build competition and will improve with help of their current and future sponsors.
